NCB Now: Cost and social benefit analysis

NCB Northern Ireland recently hosted a seminar on cost-benefit analysis, with visiting speakers Mike Powell and Sue Sanford from C4EO.
The topic is particularly relevant given the need to use public funds efficiently to secure the maximum benefit for children, young people and their families.
The seminar was attended by a cross-section of the children and young people's sector in Northern Ireland. It aimed to help senior staff to engage with tools such as the Social Return on Investment framework that helps demonstrate the effectiveness of interventions using a broader definition of value that encompasses social and financial costs and benefits.
